IX Academy's recruiter training is the only corporate recruiting learning and development opportunity of its kind, with world-class speakers and 25 years of expertise to draw from. The trainings are based on educational guidebooks recently published in 2020-2023. Each training provides a mix of strategic, practical, and proven recruiting methodologies for the rapidly evolving talent acquisition landscape.

Our courses are not just for recruiters or executive recruiters! IX Academy classes have helped individuals interested in becoming executive recruiters, or those making a shift into talent acquisition roles to make a desired career change. And corporate recruiters and executive recruiters without prior formal training in executive search can benefit from the structure, process and rigor taught by the executive search firms. 

Depending on the type of training, we offer live online delivery, customized intact training for your team, or self-paced, online courses to accommodate working schedules. After enrolling, on-demand learners have unlimited access to the course for as long as they like - across all devices.

About Bernie Pheifer

Bernie leverages her extensive global talent acquisition and human resources background as an ESIX community co-host and ESIX Executive Recruiting Online facilitator, ensuring the discussions and content provide optimal value for our members.

Bernie has over 25 years leading global teams in talent acquisition and human resources, including transforming and leading the global executive and senior leadership recruitment function at Thermo Fisher Scientific and launching the initial Korn Ferry Futurestep Talent Academy which is designed to develop core competencies in recruitment and expand overall foundational business skills for new and experienced recruiters.

About Cody Horton

Cody leads and facilitates our DSIX community. Cody is an accomplished diversity recruiting leader, author, speaker, and coach. He founded and led Diverse Recruiting Experts before its acquisition in 2022.

Prior to founding his company, Cody accumulated over 20 years of leadership experience in the US Navy, Walmart, Microsoft, and Dell, serving as Head of Talent Acquisition and Diversity Recruiting and attracting talent to build inclusive workforces. As a leader in the Navy, he directed teams in recruiting, operations, and training. Cody holds a master’s degree in management and maintains his SPHR. He serves on talent-focused boards and is the author of The Diversity Recruiting Blueprint.

About Dr. Fermin Diaz

Deputy CEO & Group Director, Human Capital and Organisation Development National Council for Social Service, Singapore

Dr. Fermin Diez has more than 30 years of experience in Human Resources, which includes consulting, corporate and academic roles in 40 countries in all continents. He had worked in global companies like Deloitte, Towers Watson, PepsiCo, Freescale Semiconductor and was a Senior Partner at Mercer immediately before joining National Council of Social Service (NCSS). As a consultant he has advised major multinationals, large local companies and public sector organisations at the board and C-suite levels on issues related to strategy, organisation structure, talent management and rewards. He currently sits on the Board and Assessment Committee of IHRP and also on the HR Committee of National University Health Services Group (NUHSG). He co-authored two books on Strategic Human Resources and serves as adjunct professor at Singapore Management University.

About Simon Mullins

Simon has been a recruiter and recruiting leader for almost his entire career. He has lived and worked in Europe, Asia, and the US (on both coasts), for startups, as an executive recruiter at Korn Ferry, and as a leader at a Fortune 50 company.

In 2004, Simon joined Microsoft’s Executive Recruiting Team, which he led from 2006 to 2012, eventually becoming Senior Director of the company. The team was responsible for all external hiring of the company’s most impactful executives, including board directors.

Simon was an Executive Search Information Exchange (ESIX) Advisory Board member from 2007 to 2012. As of 2014, Simon now leads and facilitates the group. He has since expanded the business to include communities for the leaders of Talent Acquisition (TLIX), Diversity Recruiting (DSIX), and HR & Finance (HFIX).

Simon is the co-author of a series of books including LEADERSHIP RECRUITING: Strategy, Tactics, and Tools for Hiring Organizations and LEADERSHIP RECRUITING: Consulting Skills for Recruiters. Simon is a course designer and instructor for the Executive Recruiting Specialization at the University of Washington in Seattle, and frequently speaks at industry forums and in the media.

He holds an honors degree in economics and public administration from the University of London.
